Crime Spree Ends in Twenty-Six-Year Sentence

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen’s Career Gang Unit obtained multiple convictions today against a man who victimized dozens of people by breaking into their homes and vehicles. David Nathanial Keisling, 36, was convicted of eight counts of Aggravated Burglary and twenty-two counts of Burglary of a Vehicle. In a sentencing hearing before Judge Steve Sword, Keisling was sentenced to serve twenty-six years in prison.

At sentencing, Assistant District Attorney Phil Morton explained that in November and December 2014, Keisling broke into eight homes and twenty-two cars. In addition to stealing a variety of valuables, Keisling stole a total of fourteen firearms. Keisling has twenty-three prior felony convictions for other property crimes. In total, Keisling has been convicted of victimizing fifty-three citizens in Knox County.
