If you believe that you or your family members are victims of identity theft, immediately contact all of your financial institutions. Then call the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) at 865.215.7000 if you live within Knoxville city limits or the Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) at 865.215.2243 if you live within Knox County limits. Also call all credit-reporting bureaus to put a fraud alert on your accounts.
