Murderer Receives Two Consecutive Life Sentences Plus 105 Years

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen’s Career Gang Unit obtained two consecutive life sentences plus one hundred and five years for a man who murdered two victims, stole their property, and set their house on fire. At trial in February, Benjamin Tillman Foust, Jr., 36, was convicted of two counts of First Degree Murder, ten counts of First Degree Felony Murder, four counts of Especially Aggravated Robbery, two counts of Aggravated Arson, and two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.

Child Rapist Ordered into Custody upon Conviction

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen’s Child Abuse Unit obtained multiple convictions against a man who sexually assaulted a nine-year-old victim. Jonathan Mitchell Cooper, 31, was convicted of three counts of Rape of a Child, three counts of Incest, and one count of Aggravated Sexual Battery. Judge Steve Sword set the case for sentencing on April 13. Each count of Rape of a Child carries a punishment between twenty-five and sixty years in prison without the possibility of parole.

Crips Gang Member Sentenced to Sixty Years in Prison

Prosecutors in District Attorney General Charme Allen’s Career Gang Unit obtained a sixty-year sentence today against a Crips gang member who attempted to kill a driver during a carjacking. Demetris Ross Grimes, 27, was convicted by a jury in June of eighteen counts including multiple counts of Attempted First Degree Murder, Employing a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, Attempted Carjacking, Attempted Especially Aggravated Robbery, and Assault.
