Prosecutors in DA Charme Allens Felony Drug Unit obtained a fifteen-year sentence against a methamphetamine dealer. David Paul Beets, 42, was convicted of Possession with Intent to Sell Methamphetamine over .5 Grams in a Drug Free School Zone. Judge Scott Green ordered Beets to serve fifteen years in prison without the possibility of parole.

Detroit Heroin Dealer Sentenced to Seventeen Years in Prison

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allens Felony Drug Unit obtained a seventeen-year-sentence against a Detroit heroin dealer who sold drugs near Inskip Elementary. Sparkle Trenetta Jones, 36, was convicted of Sale and Delivery of Schedule I Heroin in a Drug Free School Zone. Judge Scott Green handed down the sentence today with the first fifteen years to be served without the possibility of parole.

Career Criminal with 64 Prior Felonies Nets 29 More

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allens Career Gang Unit obtained forty-seven convictions, including twenty-nine felony convictions, against a career criminal who already had sixty-four felony convictions on his record. Curtis Anthony Burnside, 39, was convicted of twelve counts of Burglary, seventeen counts of felony Theft, sixteen counts of misdemeanor Theft, and one count each of Simple Possession and Criminal Impersonation.

Another Detroit Heroin Dealer Convicted

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allens Felony Drug Unit obtained convictions against a Detroit heroin dealer who sold drugs near Inskip Elementary. Sparkle Trenetta Jones, 36, was convicted of Sale and Delivery of Schedule I Heroin in a Drug Free School Zone. Judge Scott Green revoked Jones bond and set the case for sentencing on November 9 where Jones faces between fifteen and twenty-five years in prison.

Detroit Heroin Dealer and Murderer Sentenced to Life Plus Thirty-One Years

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allens office obtained a sentence of life plus thirty-one years against a Detroit heroin dealer who shot a man in Bearden. At trial last month, Jaleen Genard Allen, 24, was convicted of First Degree Murder, Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, and Employing a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony. At a sentencing hearing today, Judge Scott Green stacked thirty-one years in prison on top of the mandatory life sentence imposed for First Degree Murder.

Convenience Store Robber Caught on Video

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allens Major Crimes Unit obtained a conviction against a man who robbed a convenience store off Maynardville Pike. Tony Lynn Nix, 47, was convicted of Aggravated Robbery. At sentencing, Nix will face between eight and twelve years in prison without the possibility of parole.

Ebony Lounge and Events Closed as Public Nuisance

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allens Felony Drug Unit and investigators with KPDs Repeat Offender Squad closed a local nightclub under the state nuisance law. Ebony Lounge and Events, located at 3434 MLK Avenue, was closed by order of Judge Steve Sword based on gang activity, shootings, and extremely violent behavior occurring at the club.

Tyler Enix Receives Life Plus Twenty-Five Years

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allens Major Crimes Unit obtained a sentence of life plus twenty-five years against a man who murdered his ex-wife in front of his two-year-old child leading to a nationwide manhunt. Tyler Ward Enix, 39, was convicted last year of First Degree Murder and Especially Aggravated Robbery.

Felony Lane Gang Operation Dismantled

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allens White Collar Unit dismantled an entire cell of the Felony Lane Gang that came from Florida and was operating in Knox County and surrounding jurisdictions. Members of this cell included Lindsay Alex Rosenfeldt, 29, Demetrius Jamal Gunn, 28, Jarvis Letrey Lewis, 32, Weldon Jermaine Glinton, 33, and Joshua Chai Spicy, 43. In total, the members of the gang were convicted of fifteen felonies for Identity Theft, Theft over $2500, and Burglary of a Vehicle.

Crips Gang Member Convicted of Robbing Teenagers

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen’s Career Gang Unit obtained multiple convictions against a gang member who robbed four teenagers in Mechanicsville while they were playing basketball. Dashun Jawuan Shackleford, 19, was convicted of four counts of Aggravated Robbery, and the jury found that Shackleford was a member of the Crips street gang. Judge Steve Sword set the case for sentencing on August 9 where Shackleford faces fifteen to twenty-five years in prison for each count.

Repeat Drug Dealer Convicted in Overdose Death

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen’s Felony Drug Unit obtained a twenty-four-year sentence against a repeat drug dealer who sold a deadly fentanyl analogue to a man that overdosed. Anthony Lynn Jordan, 40, was convicted of Possession with Intent to Sell Cocaine, Attempted Bribery, Reckless Homicide, and Possession with Intent to Sell a Controlled Substance Analogue.

Carjacking Defendant to Serve Twenty Years

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen’s Felony Drug Unit obtained a twenty-year sentence against a career criminal who carjacked a man in East Knoxville. Randolph Stevenson, 34, pled guilty to Carjacking, Attempted Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, and Attempted Aggravated Robbery. Under the terms of the agreement, Judge Scott Green sentenced Stevenson to twenty years in prison.

Fingerprint Leads to Conviction of Career Burglar

Billy Ray Moats, 42, was convicted of Aggravated Burglary and Theft. Judge Bob McGee set the case for sentencing on August 2 where Moats faces between fifteen and twenty-one years in prison.
